Marriott International has appointed Robert Pattenden as the new General Manager of The Singapore EDITION. Pattenden’s journey with EDITION began at The Sanya EDITION, where he advanced from director of operations to hotel manager, significantly enhancing the guest experience.

In 2023, he became General Manager of W Chengdu, steering the hotel through China’s dynamic luxury hospitality sector.

Pattenden transitions into Singapore from Chengdu, where he led W Chengdu. He arrives with a rich background in luxury hospitality and recognized expertise in operational leadership. His career includes high-ranking positions across China, notably at The Westin Xi’an and Intercontinental Sanya Resort, with further key roles at Raffles Hainan Clear Water Bay and Shangri-La Pudong, Shanghai.

Outside work, Pattenden is a family man who enjoys sports and maintaining an active lifestyle.
