RateHawk Expands Payment Options with Major Digital Wallets in Asia

B2B travel booking platform RateHawk enhances its payment system by integrating popular digital wallets across Asian countries.

B2B travel booking system RateHawk is introducing a digital payment option across Asia by integrating several digital wallets popular in the region.

The platform now supports payments via GCash in the Philippines, TrueMoney in Thailand, TNG in Malaysia, Dana in Indonesia, and AlipayHK for Chinese clients.

RateHawk has selected leading services for each country, ensuring fast, secure, and user-friendly transactions that align with local preferences.

In addition to digital wallets, a variety of other payment methods are available, including traditional credit cards, wire transfers, cash payments at check-in, innovative solutions like pay-by-link, and PayPal.

Erik Akhmetgaliev, RateHawk’s Regional Director in APAC, stated: “We’ve integrated digital wallets in Asia due to their outstanding popularity among both businesses and consumers. This update enhances payment flexibility, which is essential for travel professionals navigating a fast-moving market and increasingly fragmented customer preferences. At RateHawk, travel agents can easily choose the most convenient format for themselves and their clients.”

Optimizing Use of Asia’s Leading Payment Method

Since 2020, digital wallets have become the predominant payment method in Asia, especially within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Recent analyses reveal that digital wallets now account for nearly 70% of all transactions in APAC, underscoring their rapid adoption and dominance in the regional payments landscape.

Akhmetgaliev added: “The integration of digital wallets is part of our regional strategy, focused on developing local solutions and supporting Asian travel professionals in their digital transformation. As we continue to expand our presence across the APAC region, we are committed to delivering relevant solutions tailored to our partners’ needs.”
