The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (HML) has recently been honored at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2026 for its commitment to promoting Muslim-friendly tourism. HML received the Meetings & Conferencing Property of the Year and the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year awards in Hong Kong.

HML is dedicated to offering day-to-day management of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), which hosts approximately 800 events and attracts over 7.8 million visitors annually. To better serve the increasing number of Muslim attendees, HML introduced new facilities such as a prayer room, upgraded washrooms for ablution, and expanded Halal-certified food options.

These initiatives signify Hong Kong’s aspiration to remain a leading event hub in Asia, enhancing inclusivity and cultural sensitivity within the tourism sector.
