Avianca Restarts Daily Flights Between Bogotá and Caracas

Avianca has confirmed the resumption of direct flights from Bogotá, Colombia, to Caracas, Venezuela, beginning on February 12, 2026, enhancing regional connectivity and tourism.

Avianca has announced the resumption of its direct flights between Bogotá, Colombia, and Caracas, Venezuela, starting February 12, 2026. The decision to reinstate this route follows a thorough evaluation of operational and aviation safety conditions, conducted in collaboration with relevant authorities.

The reactivation of this route marks a significant step in strengthening regional connectivity, supporting both binational trade and tourism. Avianca, which has been operating for over 106 years, has a longstanding commitment to safety and service in Venezuela, with more than 60 years of operations in the country.

Tickets for the Bogotá-Caracas route are now available for purchase through Avianca’s website, mobile app, physical sales points, travel agencies, and the airline’s Contact Centre. This move is expected to facilitate increased travel and economic exchange between the two nations.

Avianca, a member of Star Alliance and part of Grupo Abra, operates more than 155 routes with over 700 daily flights, connecting over 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe. In 2024, the airline transported nearly 38 million passengers, underscoring its role as a major player in Latin American aviation.
