PATA to Provide Training for 600 Travel Agents in UK and Ireland
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) will conduct training for over 600 travel agents in the UK and Ireland via roadshows.
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is set to launch a comprehensive training program targeting over 600 travel agents throughout the UK and Ireland. This initiative seeks to boost bookings through a series of engaging roadshows, commencing in the North of England and kicking off in Glasgow next month.
The training events will start with the PATA Roadshow in Glasgow on 9 March 2026, followed by events in Liverpool on 10 March, Leeds on 11 March, and Birmingham on 12 March. Each session will adopt a speed-networking style, allowing agents to connect with suppliers from the PATA region in 10-minute intervals. Participants will also enjoy food, drinks, and opportunities to win prizes, including luxury hotel stays.
Key suppliers at these roadshows include well-known names such as Angsana Velavaru, Bangkok Airways, Etihad Airways, and the Singapore Tourism Board, offering a diverse range of services from high-end accommodation to transportation and destination marketing.
Betsie Barr, the Marketing & Events Manager for PATA UK & Ireland, shared her excitement for the enhanced training events, saying, “Trade engagement continues to grow, and this year we’re set to make PATA’s training events larger and more engaging than ever. We love meeting travel agents and are excited to share all the new and exciting developments happening across the Pacific Asia region.”
Travel agents wishing to take part can register for free via the PATA UK & Ireland website.
