
OTM 2026, Asia’s premier travel trade fair, kicked off today at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, signifying a crucial moment for India’s rising stature in the global tourism sector. This event, acknowledged by NielsenIQ as the Leading Travel Trade Show in India and Asia for the last two years, showcases over 2,200 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, including 45 National Tourism Organizations. The three-day exhibition is projected to draw over 50,000 travel trade visitors and 1,000 top industry professionals.
The exhibition highlights India’s pivotal role as an outbound travel hub, spurred by increasing disposable incomes and improved international connectivity. “OTM was established to mirror the current reality of global travel, where India is recognized not just as an emerging market but as one of the most desirable travel markets worldwide,” said Sanjiv Agarwal, the Chairman and CEO of Fairfest Media.
