Airbus and Thai Airways International Enhance Partnership
Airbus and Thai Airways International have solidified their enduring partnership through a newly announced agreement that expands support for THAI’s A321neo fleet, which is slowly being integrated into its operations by 2025.
This long-term agreement encompasses a variety of component services, such as on-site stock and pool access, as well as component repair services at the main base in Bangkok.
In addition, THAI will have access to Airbus’ engineering expertise along with dedicated FHS (Flight Hour Services) regional representatives, facilitating support for daily maintenance and improving fleet availability while ensuring cost predictability.
Comments from Airbus
Anand Stanley, President of Airbus Asia-Pacific, noted: “Extending our FHS agreement with THAI to support their A321neo fleet demonstrates the strength of our long-standing relationship and our commitment to backing the airline’s fleet modernization strategy. With comprehensive component support and a local engineering presence, we are enabling THAI to optimize operations as it incorporates the next generation of single-aisle aircraft.”
Comprehensive Support
Airbus FHS delivers flexible maintenance solutions aimed at helping airlines enhance fleet performance while keeping operating costs low. Leveraging Airbus’ extensive experience, digital capabilities, and insights, FHS improves operational efficacy and reliability. As a global leader in Power-by-the-Hour support, it provides airlines with predictable long-term maintenance solutions.
THAI’s initial FHS agreement initiated in 2012 covered 20 A320ceo aircraft, with the scope recently expanded to include 32 A321neo aircraft, symbolizing the airline’s ongoing trust in Airbus’ comprehensive maintenance support.
