Emirates Marks UAE–Kuwait Week with Unique Guest Experiences

Emirates introduces special onboard offerings to celebrate the enduring relationship between the UAE and Kuwait.

Emirates has joined in the celebrations for UAE–Kuwait Week, showcasing the strong ties between the two countries through a variety of special onboard features.

The airline has introduced traditional Kuwaiti desserts across all cabin classes on its 30 weekly flights between Dubai and Kuwait. Passengers can enjoy a Pistachio Rahash Tart, while First and Business Class travelers will receive a Gahwa Tart, and those in Premium Economy and Economy will savor a Toffee Date Cake. Additionally, a selection of Arabic content is available, including popular Kuwaiti films, music albums, and TV shows from esteemed Kuwaiti artists.

Flight EK855 on February 2 was led by Kuwaiti Captain Husain Alabdulmohsen and Emirati First Officer Ishaq Abdulla, symbolizing the collaboration and shared values between the UAE and Kuwait. Emirates has been operating services to Kuwait since 1989, using a Boeing 727 initially and now providing modern retrofitted Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s with Premium Economy classes and signature products.

The airline has successfully transported over 16 million passengers on more than 81,000 flights to and from Kuwait, connecting travelers to a network of over 150 destinations worldwide. Kuwait was also among the first countries to welcome the Airbus A350 in January 2025, enhancing passenger experience with wider aisles and quieter cabins.

Moreover, Emirates has facilitated trade between Kuwait and the global market through a weekly freight service, delivering over 165,000 tonnes of cargo in the past five years. An interline agreement with Kuwait Airways further extends connectivity for passengers to 19 destinations within the Emirates network.
