AirAsia has announced its new role as a partner of the Adelaide Fringe Festival, focusing on sponsoring Midweek Treat tickets, which provide discounted access to a variety of performances every Wednesday during the festival. This initiative aims to boost attendance on typically quieter days, thereby supporting local performers and enhancing the overall festival experience for both residents and visitors.
General Manager of AirAsia, Benyamin Ismail, emphasized that this partnership signifies the airline’s dedication to South Australia and aligns with its mission to make travel affordable for everyone. He stated:
“Adelaide Fringe is a celebration of creativity, diversity and community: values that strongly align with AirAsia’s brand. Sponsoring the Midweek Treat tickets felt like a natural fit for AirAsia, offering high-value experiences at an accessible price point which is similar to our mission to make travel more affordable and accessible for millions of travellers.”
Furthermore, the airline is also offering Midweek Treat ticket holders a chance to win $1,500 in AirAsia Points, enhancing the incentive to attend the festival. Tara MacLeod from Adelaide Fringe noted:
“Midweek Treat is about giving people a reason to say yes to a Wednesday night out. Partnering with AirAsia adds a fun layer of possibility, because your Midweek Treat could genuinely turn into a getaway.”
