Windstar Unveils Luxurious Star Seeker Yacht for Exotic Destinations
Windstar Cruises introduces Star Seeker, an all-suite yacht designed for small-ship luxury traveling across the Caribbean, Alaska, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
Windstar Cruises has officially welcomed its newest all‑suite yacht, Star Seeker, with an intimate christening in Miami on 15 January 2026, marking the first newbuild for the line’s Star Class fleet. This vessel, designed for just 224 guests, embarks on immersive itineraries across the Caribbean, Alaska, Japan, and Southeast Asia before being joined by sister ship Star Explorer in late 2026.
Christening in Miami: A Family Tradition at Sea
At the christening event, Libby Anschutz, daughter of Windstar owner Phil Anschutz, acted as Godmother and performed the traditional Champagne bottle break to formally name Star Seeker. This tradition continues the family legacy, as Libby’s mother, Nancy Anschutz, serves as Godmother of Star Pride, and her sister Sarah will christen Star Explorer in London in June 2027.
Windstar President Christopher Prelog highlighted the brand’s culture of warmth, while Captain Tom Schofield introduced his crew and additional ship godmothers. The night’s festivities concluded with a blessing and a fireworks display.

Following its christening, Star Seeker is set to explore the Caribbean, Alaska, and Asia with multiple itineraries that cater to its smaller size.
