Thailand Highlights Its Role at ASEAN TRAVEX 2026

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) continues to assert its presence among regional partners through its pavilion at this year’s ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX).

TRAVEX is part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2026, which runs from January 28th to 30th in Cebu, Philippines. TAT’s participation highlights Thailand’s commitment to high-value tourism, sustainability, and enhanced regional collaboration within ASEAN.

According to TAT governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool, “ATF 2026 allows Thailand to bolster regional cooperation while pursuing sustainable tourism initiatives. Through TRAVEX and high-level dialogues, we promote the global concept Healing is the New Luxury, integrating wellness, culture, and meaningful travels for long-term benefits and shared sustainability across ASEAN.”

Now in its 44th year, ATF 2026 is hosted by the Philippines, focusing on the themes of Quality Tourism, Sustainability, Regional Integration, and Innovation. This forum serves as ASEAN’s primary platform for tourism policy alignment and industry collaboration. Thailand’s involvement showcases its past hosting capability and ongoing participation in commercial and policy facets of tourism.

The Thailand Pavilion operates as a central hub throughout TRAVEX until January 30th, fostering trade relations, media engagement, and partnerships with both regional and global stakeholders. The pavilion’s design embodies the concept “Healing is the New Luxury”, facilitating premium business exchanges and featuring dedicated spaces for B2B negotiations, media interviews, and strategic discussions.

Under TAT’s guidance, six Thai sellers are present, including: Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok, Lion Land Phuket, Panan Krabi Resort, Thai Airways International, Thailand Privilege Card, and Paradise Koh Yao Resort.
