Partnership Between Emirates and Marriott International to Launch Emirates Wolgan Valley
Emirates and Marriott International, Inc have signed an agreement to open Emirates Wolgan Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Lodge, a 40-key all-inclusive luxury lodge in Australia’s Greater Blue Mountains.
Set in the heart of a 7,000-acre conservancy in Australia’s Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage area, Emirates Wolgan Valley will be the first Ritz-Carlton Lodge globally, marking a significant milestone for regional tourism in New South Wales.
On this occasion, Marriott International’s president in Asia Pacific, Rajeev Menon, expressed: “We’re honoured to collaborate with Emirates on this milestone development…” (Translation: We are honored to work with Emirates on this groundbreaking project…)
The project, expected to open by the middle of the year, is set to redefine luxury travel and amplify the area’s tourism offerings.
In the words of Emirates president Tim Clark: “In our 30 years of operations in Australia…” (Translation: In our 30 years of service in Australia…).
Clark elaborated on Emirates’ ongoing commitment to the destination, highlighting their long-term investment, including the AU$150 million already infused since 2006.
With an additional AU$50 million directed toward renovations, Emirates aims to elevate the property into a premier expression of Ritz-Carlton hospitality while honoring the local ecosystem.
The opening of this lodge is projected to create approximately 150 jobs and boost the local economy through enhanced opportunities for local suppliers and community engagement.
