Hoshino Resorts Launches First Apartment-Style Hotel in Yokohama
On January 15th, Hoshino Resorts proudly opened OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi, claiming its title as the company’s inaugural apartment-style hotel and the first OMO brand property in Yokohama, Kanagawa.
This new establishment is poised to be followed by the upcoming OMO7 Yokohama, which will solidify the brand’s presence in the city. Strategically situated across from JR Kannai Station, the hotel integrates into a substantial redevelopment initiative transforming the historic Yokohama City Hall site.
Under the theme of 360° Sky Voyage, the hotel occupies the 46th to 51st floors of a prominent skyscraper, directly accessible from Bashamichi Station at a height of 154 meters, offering breathtaking views of the city.
Targeted at tourists seeking flexibility and home-like comfort, OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi’s 175 guest rooms are equipped with kitchens and washer-dryers, well-suited for medium to long-term stays. Options include an OMO House featuring versatile furniture and the large OMO House Corner Suite ideal for families.
The hotel’s design takes inspiration from ship cabins, embodying a maritime adventure with leather accents and brass detailing. Alongside is the circular OMO Base, a communal area with a full view of Yokohama’s famous skyline, equipped with various amenities including a Play Zone, cultural galleries, and themed entertainment.
Guests can look forward to curated experiences, like collecting themed boxes for viewing suggestions and enjoying self-service cocktails amid stunning cityscapes. Additionally, the Go-KINJO service encourages guests to explore the vibrant streets of Yokohama with insider tips from local guides.
