Vienna's New Immersive Mozart Experience Unveiled
Vienna celebrates Mozart's birth with a new immersive attraction, MYTHOS MOZART, featuring multimedia experiences.
Vienna is celebrating the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth with the launch of MYTHOS MOZART, a new immersive attraction located in the building where the composer spent his final year. Opening in 2026, this multimedia experience combines classical music, AI-driven storytelling, and interactive installations to bring Mozart’s legacy to life.
MYTHOS MOZART offers a 60-minute journey through five rooms, each exploring different facets of Mozart’s life and work. Highlights include a 45-metre-long, 360° animated panorama of Vienna in 1791 and interactive installations based on A Little Night Music. The attraction also features a digital artwork inspired by The Magic Flute, created by new-media artist Refik Anadol.
Peter Unsinn, spokesperson for MYTHOS MOZART, mentioned, “Vienna is inseparable from Mozart’s story. With MYTHOS MOZART, we wanted to create an experience that feels alive and accessible and speaks not only to followers of classical music but also to families, young people, and visitors to Vienna who may be encountering Mozart for the first time.”
The attraction is designed to be family-friendly, allowing children under six to enter for free, and offering reduced prices for those aged six to 18. Tours commence every ten minutes, accommodating groups of up to 36 people, with audio guides available in six languages.
To celebrate Mozart’s birthday on 27 January 2026, MYTHOS MOZART will provide a special ticket price of $20.50 (€19) from 26 to 30 January, using the code AMADEUS. A Valentine’s Day offer will also be available from 1 to 14 February.
