Air Europa Increases Flights to Málaga Amid Railway Service Interruption
Air Europa is expanding its flight offerings to Málaga in response to disruptions in high-speed train services due to an accident in Adamuz.
Air Europa is set to increase its flights to Málaga starting this Saturday, January 25, until February 2, adding an extra 30 frequencies. This adjustment will provide a total of 10,800 seats. The airline announced this expansion to enhance regional connectivity following disruptions in high-speed rail services caused by a recent accident in Adamuz, Córdoba. Previously, the airline had twice bolstered its operations on the Madrid-Málaga route to facilitate passenger mobility, introducing three additional flights to the already existing four daily flights. On the upcoming Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Air Europa will operate seven daily services with 1,080 extra seats compared to its usual schedule.
Iberia has also ramped up its operations in Andalucía until February 2, incorporating an additional daily flight in each direction between Madrid and Sevilla, as well as another one between Madrid and Málaga. These measures aim to address the increased demand resulting from the suspension of high-speed train services between Madrid and various Andalusian cities, following the tragic incident in Adamuz last Sunday. These temporary logistical reinforcements ensure connectivity between the capital and the Andalusian region, particularly benefiting residents and tourists intending to visit Málaga and other tourist cities of interest.
