
Iryo has announced that it will cancel all planned activities at the Fitur event taking place this week at Ifema Madrid in honor of the victims of a fatal train accident. The company expressed its deep condolences to the families of the deceased and extended support to the injured, wishing them a speedy recovery.
In a statement, Iryo confirmed their commitment to cooperate with the commission investigating the accident. Meanwhile, they have opened a support line for affected passengers and families at 900 001 402 and are providing free ticket changes and cancellations for those impacted.
The company is maintaining ongoing communication with involved institutions, including the Ministry of Transport, ADIF, Delegation of the Government, the Junta of Andalusia, and the municipalities of Adamuz and Córdoba. They also acknowledged the critical role of emergency services in the rescue and care of victims.
Iryo’s CEO, Fabrizio Favara, arrived at the accident site last night to oversee the situation, while the company’s President, Carlos Bertomeu, is also heading to the incident area. The company has expressed condolences to Renfe and is grateful for their collaboration in these particularly challenging times.
