AirAsia X Backs Malaysian Athletes for the 2026 ASEAN Para Games

AirAsia X extends support for Malaysian athletes competing in the ASEAN Para Games, emphasizing inclusivity and national pride.

AirAsia X has recently broadened its charter services to support Malaysian athletes who are participating in the ongoing ASEAN Para Games. The airline transported nearly 360 athletes and coaches from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok, taking place from January 15 to January 27.

This transportation initiative operates under a unique charter agreement established with the National Sports Council of Malaysia, highlighting the airline’s dedication to inclusivity and national pride while ensuring that the teams can travel comfortably together.

Benyamin Ismail, the CEO of AirAsia X, remarked on this important issuance: “It is an honour to fly our national heroes to Bangkok. These athletes represent the best of Malaysia. Their determination, resilience, and spirit inspire us all. We take pride in contributing to their journey to the ASEAN Para Games.”

This project signifies AirAsia X’s involvement extending beyond mere commercial aviation, contributing positively to Malaysia’s sporting achievements and advocating for equal opportunities for athletes on an international platform.
