Accor has announced the signing of Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar, a luxury resort set to open in 2030 in the foothills of the Himalayas, overlooking the River Ganges. This 160-room resort will introduce Sofitel’s French elegance to Rishikesh, a globally recognized spiritual destination, with a focus on wellness, including a Sofitel Spa, yoga and meditation programs, and multiple dining venues.

The resort, developed in partnership with the Dangayach Group, will occupy eight acres in Narendra Nagar, offering panoramic mountain views and lush gardens. It will feature five dining destinations, including a signature restaurant and a rooftop dining experience, blending French and Indian culinary traditions. The wellness sanctuary will include two swimming pools, a 623 square meter Sofitel Spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Event spaces will cover over 2,000 square meters, with indoor ballrooms and outdoor lawns, making it a prime venue for weddings and retreats. Upon completion, the resort will enhance Accor’s luxury presence in India, supporting the country’s appeal as a global destination for wellness and sustainable tourism.
