New Cultural Ambassador Appointed at InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping

InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping has appointed Bijayasinee Sirivisutra as its inaugural Cultural Ambassador to foster stronger ties with Chiang Mai's cultural landscape.

InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping has announced the appointment of Bijayasinee Sirivisutra as its first Cultural Ambassador.
This newly created position aims to deepen connections between the hotel and Chiang Mai’s artistic community.
In her new role, Bijayasinee will curate unique guest experiences showcasing the Lanna heritage and connecting visitors with local artists. She will bridge the hotel and the cultural scene, oversee displayed artefacts, and ensure the hotel merges hospitality with cultural understanding.
Hotel general manager Adnan Yecel expressed: “The Cultural Ambassador role is uncommon in hospitality. The ideal candidate combines elements of event planning, art curation, guest relations, and storytelling to enhance guest experience by embedding Chiang Mai’s heritage in everyday interactions.” He noted Bijayasinee’s passion for local culture and her ties with artists, enabling guests to experience behind-the-scenes processes.
Bijayasinee described the hotel as a “living museum,” situated beside a 600-year-old stupa and close to UNESCO sites. She expressed her excitement to help guests see Chiang Mai not merely as a destination but as a city rich in heritage and soul.
