Cunard’s Iconic Vessels Embark on Remarkable World Voyages
Luxury cruise brand Cunard bid farewell to its latest vessel, Queen Anne, along with Queen Mary 2, the only ocean liner in the world, as both embarked from Southampton for their respective world voyages.
As the ships commenced their journey, a spectacular fireworks display illuminated the Southampton sky, celebrating Cunard’s annual tradition of World Voyages with its Queens.
Queen Anne and Queen Mary 2 will circle the globe for a total of 225 nights, visiting breathtaking destinations accompanied by Cunard’s acclaimed White Star service and lavish accommodations, from Britannia and Club level staterooms to exclusive Princess and Queens Grill suites.
Off to Adventure
This marks Queen Anne’s second World Voyage following her debut voyage last year, sailing eastward to 30 ports across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas.
With overnight stays planned in Cape Town, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Los Angeles, guests are assured an immersive experience, enjoying the luxury of their home aboard Queen Anne.
Meanwhile, the festivities also marked the return of Queen Mary 2 after a two-year pause for its World Voyage, including historic milestones in its itinerary.
The 108-night round-trip journey will leave Southampton, heading west towards the Americas before exploring Australia, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Just under two weeks after setting sail, Queen Mary 2 will achieve a historic milestone with its first-ever transit through the Panama Canal on the 24th and 25th of January.
Following this historic passage, Queen Mary 2 will touch down in Long Beach, CA, where she will reunite with her namesake, Queen Mary, for the first time in two decades.
After the Royal reunion, Queen Mary 2 will officially return to the Port of Los Angeles for the first time in 17 years, with a planned overnight stay.
Meaningful Experiences Onboard
Beyond exquisite dining and unparalleled service, Cunard’s 2026 World Voyages will also feature various unique speakers in the beloved Cunard Insights program.
Onboard Queen Anne, attendees will be able to listen to experts such as solo cellist Julian Lloyd Webber, producer of The Crocodile Hunter, John Stainton, and US World Champion Sprinter Tyree Washington, among others.
For its World Voyage, Queen Mary 2 will host a lineup of unique speakers, including award-winning journalist and counter-terrorism expert Margaret Gilmore, former pilot Jeff Skiles, who was involved in the “Miracle on the Hudson”, and Zelda La Grange, former private secretary to Nelson Mandela.
