The Tourism Authority of Thailand promotes its unique travel offerings at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2025 in Johor, Malaysia.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is currently present in Johor, Malaysia, for the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025, which began on January 15 and will continue until January 17.

Under the theme Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism Year, TAT’s pavilion presents Thailand’s unique travel experiences and emphasizes its role in fostering regional tourism growth.

TAT’s Deputy Governor for International Marketing in Asia and the South Pacific, Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, stated:

Showcasing Thailand’s Five Key Musts

The 90-square-meter Thailand Pavilion highlights five essential experiences: Taste, Try, Buy, Seek, and See. Seven Thai tourism operators are engaging with international buyers through B2B meetings to foster partnerships and broaden opportunities. Visitors can enjoy traditional Thai snacks, complimentary Wi-Fi, and immersive cultural displays.

An interactive Information Counter provides insights and recommendations through digital QR codes.

Thailand’s 2024 in a Nutshell

During a media briefing, Denduen Luengcheng, Executive Director for Advertising and Public Relations at TAT, reviewed Thailand’s tourism achievements and goals. In 2024, the country welcomed 35.5 million international visitors, with over 30% from ASEAN.

Thailand continues to strengthen connectivity across ASEAN, reflecting in the aviation sector’s 26% expansion and the introduction of new routes by airlines like AirAsia, Vietravel Airlines, Lao Airlines, and Malindo Airways. Land connectivity has also improved with streamlined border processes and the Bangkok-Vientiane train service, making cross-border travel more accessible.
