International Tourist Spending in Spain Surpasses €126.7 Billion by November, Up 6.9% Year-on-Year

A report reveals significant growth in international tourist spending in Spain, along with increasing visitor numbers in 2025.

The total expenditure of international tourists in Spain by November 2025 reached €126.707 billion, marking a 6.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data released today by the National Statistics Institute (INE). This figure already exceeds the total spending accumulated from January to December of the previous year, which was €126.282 billion.

Visitor Statistics

In the first eleven months of 2025, over 91.4 million international tourists arrived in Spain, showing a 3.4% growth compared to the same period last year. For November alone, 5.7 million international tourists visited, a 2.1% increase year-on-year, who spent approximately €8 billion, representing a 5% rise from November 2024.

These statistics continue to confirm the trend of growth in spending at destinations outpacing the increase in visitor influx, a more moderate growth this year compared to last. This trend aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to a new tourism model focused on sustainability and prioritizing quality over quantity, along with efforts to disperse and de-seasonalize tourist destinations.
