Oceania Cruises, known for its exquisite culinary and destination-oriented luxury journeys, has made an important change to its booking policy. Starting immediately, the cruise line will only accept new reservations from guests who are 18 years or older. This shift aims to enhance the serene onboard atmosphere, resonating more with its clientele’s preferences.
All current bookings made prior to January 7, 2026, that include guests under 18 will still be honored.
Why the Adults-Only Shift?
The decision is rooted in extensive research completed by Oceania Cruises. Feedback gathered from returning guests, travel partners, and new clientele indicated a robust desire for a more tranquil, sophisticated, and leisurely environment, particularly valued by older, affluent travelers.
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, stated, “Our guests have consistently shared that the tranquil environment aboard our ships is one of the primary reasons they return time and time again. By transitioning to an adults-only experience, we are enhancing the very essence of the Oceania Cruises journey – one defined by sophistication, serenity, and discovery.”
This policy shift reaffirms Oceania Cruises’ commitment to offering a relaxed ambiance characterized by genuine hospitality and the opportunity for meaningful connections. In line with this, the brand pledges to continue providing inspirational journeys, allowing guests to explore at their own pace and fully enjoy each destination.
