Marina Bay Sands is about to be transformed into a lively hub of creativity with the upcoming Where Art Takes Shape festival, running from January 22 to 31, 2026. This event will be part of Singapore Art Week 2026, featuring a diverse mix of artistic offerings, including Southeast Asia’s leading art fair, ART SG, and innovative exhibitions held at the ArtScience Museum. The festival’s mission is to connect, inspire, and transform the community through an organic blend of art, culinary delights, and cultural experiences.
ART SG, supported by UBS, will be hosted at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, evolving this year with the addition of S.E.A. Focus, a dedicated platform for contemporary Southeast Asian art. This collaboration will see the participation of over 100 international galleries, fostering a dialogue between Southeast Asian and global contemporary art practices.
In addition, the ArtScience Museum will showcase NOX: Confessions of a Machine by Lawrence Lek, which discusses machine consciousness and futuristic smart city designs. This exhibition will run from January 23 to April 19, 2026, prompting reflection on human-machine interaction. Furthermore, the ART SG FILM program will feature screenings of curated films at the ArtScience Cinema, providing a thought-provoking cinematic engagement.
Dining options will also receive an artistic uplift with art-inspired culinary creations across Marina Bay Sands’ flagship restaurants, blending heritage, craftsmanship, and rich storytelling through food. This festival highlights Marina Bay Sands’ dedication to enriching Singapore’s art and cultural landscape, reinforcing its status as a pivotal platform for artistic engagement.
