STARLUX Airlines Takes Delivery of First A350-1000
STARLUX Airlines has welcomed its first A350-1000, marking a significant addition to its fleet while promoting sustainable aviation.
STARLUX Airlines, based in Taiwan, has recently celebrated receiving its first A350-1000, becoming the 11th airline globally to operate the A350 family. This major acquisition adds to their existing fleet of A350-900 aircraft, which are utilized on long-distance routes including those to Europe and North America, as well as other Asia-Pacific destinations.
The A350-1000 is designed to be capable of using up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with Airbus aiming to reach full SAF capability by 2030.
To commemorate this new addition, STARLUX revealed a distinctive livery that symbolizes innovation and its brand identity. Featuring a design that incorporates the airline’s signature elements alongside a carbon-fiber theme, the aircraft’s striking look is complemented by the bold ‘1000’ on its fuselage, denoting its prestigious status as the largest model in Airbus’s production lineup.
Currently, STARLUX operates an all-Airbus fleet featuring the A321neo, the A330-900, and the A350-900. The introduction of the A350-1000 enhances their capabilities, alongside a new order for 10 A350 freighters aimed at growing the airline’s cargo services.
The A350 is renowned for its cutting-edge design, providing superior operational efficiency and passenger comfort, while also significantly reducing fuel burn and emissions per flight compared to older models. As of late November 2025, Airbus has secured over 1,500 orders for the A350 across 66 customers worldwide.
