Cvent to Acquire ON24 for $400 Million

Cvent is set to purchase ON24, enhancing digital engagement capabilities and supporting marketing and sales teams as buying journeys evolve.

ON24, a leading platform for B2B enterprise sales and marketing, has signed a definitive agreement with Cvent, a major player in meetings, events, and hospitality technology, for an all-cash deal approximated at $400 million. Completion of the transaction is projected for the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory and shareholder approval.

This acquisition aims to integrate ON24’s enhanced webinar and digital engagement features with Cvent’s robust event technology solutions, providing comprehensive support for marketing and event teams as digital interactions become more complex. Shareholders of ON24 will receive $8.10 per share, representing a 62% premium over its closing stock price from November 10, 2025.

Sharat Sharan, co-founder and CEO of ON24, expressed his excitement about the deal, commenting, “We are pleased to announce this transformative transaction which marks an important new chapter for ON24.”

Cvent’s CEO, Reggie Aggarwal, remarked, “We look forward to supporting ON24 as they continue to deliver value and collaborating to enhance audience engagement via digital and in-person experiences.”

Upon finalization, ON24 will transition to a private company, and its stock will cease to be publicly traded. The deal has received unanimous approval from ON24’s Board of Directors.
