As Spain prepares for FITUR4all 2026, the event aims to spotlight the nation's commitment to accessible tourism, offering insights from industry leaders on its profound social and economic impact.

FITUR4all Enhances Spain’s Role in Accessible Tourism

FITUR4all, a dedicated section of the FITUR tourism fair, is set to showcase Spain’s commitment to accessible tourism during its 2026 edition on January 23. This announcement follows a pivotal year marked by the Accessible Tourism Trends Report released by TUR4all Travel in September 2025, which identified accessible tourism as a rapidly growing global segment.

With an estimated 1.3 billion individuals with disabilities worldwide alongside an ageing population, accessible tourism is gaining recognition as both an economic opportunity and a social responsibility. FITUR4all, in collaboration with IMPULSA IGUALDAD, aspires to promote a more inclusive and sustainable tourism model.

The event will include strategic roundtables and the FITUR4all 2026 Awards, honouring leaders in accessibility and inclusion. Discussions will encompass Spain’s role as an accessible destination, the creation of inclusive tourism experiences, and the transformative impact of private enterprises.

“FITUR4all demonstrates that accessibility is no longer a secondary element of tourism, but a key factor in quality, competitiveness, and innovation,” stated Miguel Carrasco, Director of Accessibility, Culture, and Inclusive Tourism at IMPULSA IGUALDAD.

The forum will further involve high-level panel discussions, micro-presentations, and networking opportunities, reinforcing its status as a global benchmark in accessible tourism. As the countdown for the FITUR4all Awards begins, the event promises to serve as a critical platform for advancing accessibility in the tourism sector.
