The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) business travel market is anticipated to expand significantly, reaching $270.8 billion by 2030, according to the 2025 Business Travel Insights Report by Tumodo. This report reveals the effects of improved regional connections and the rise in short business trips on the travel landscape.

Tumodo, a prominent business travel platform based in the UAE, has identified crucial trends shaping the market. Notably, while demand has surged, the average booking price has dropped from $496.6 in 2024 to $427.8. The peak travel periods are January to February, with a notable uptick occurring in November.

The report also highlights the busiest travel routes and preferred airlines. The Riyadh–Dubai route emerges as the most active, with Emirates, IndiGo, Turkish Airlines, and Flydubai as the leading carriers. Economy class bookings constitute 72.81% of all travels.

Behavior among travelers is shifting towards shorter journeys, usually lasting between one to three days. The average hotel cost has decreased to $171, with 5-star and 4-star accommodations being the most sought-after options, accounting for 40.79% and 37.38% of bookings, respectively. Additionally, airport transfers and visa support services are among the most requested add-ons.

These findings reflect the changing landscape of business travel within the GCC, prompted by evolving traveler preferences and economic circumstances. As the market continues to flourish, businesses and service providers must adjust to these new trends to remain competitive.
