United Hospitality Management (UHM) is making its mark in India by acquiring the boutique brand Rosastays. This acquisition not only strengthens UHM’s presence in the region but also taps into India’s growing travel demand and evolving hospitality landscape.
Strategic Expansion
The move allows UHM immediate operational control over 17 properties located in popular destinations including Goa, Kasauli, Nainital, Pushkar, and Shimla. The transition of select properties to the UHM brand is expected between Q4 2025 and Q1 2026. Leading this initiative is Deepika Arora, the newly appointed Managing Director for UHM India.
Market Insight
According to Klaus Assmann, UHM’s COO for the region, the changing landscape in India’s hospitality sector presents significant opportunities, particularly in owner-focused management. UHM aims to deliver global operational standards while adapting to local market nuances.
Future Growth Plans
UHM is poised to grow its hotel portfolio across India, with plans to establish a total of 100 hotels worldwide by 2030, including over 700 rooms planned in new developments with partners like IHG and Dusit Hotels.
Unique Approach
The firm intends to implement a ‘glocal’ strategy, merging global operational frameworks with local elements, maintaining individual property identities while enhancing guest experiences through innovative dining and wellness offerings.
