WTTC Chooses Madrid for Its Upcoming Global Headquarters

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has designated Madrid as the site for its new global office, aiming to boost its international leadership.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has officially chosen Madrid as the new location for its Global Office. This decision, made unanimously by the Operating Committee, aims to boost WTTC’s global leadership and enhance member engagement.

The selection process involved assessing five potential sites—Dubai, France, Italy, and Switzerland—with key considerations such as operational costs, tax benefits, and governmental support.

Madrid was favored for various competitive advantages, including a favorable tax framework, governmental support, and efficient visa management. Additionally, the city provides access to a large talent pool of around 350 million professionals and is close to numerous international organizations, facilitating collaboration.

Manfredi Lefebvre, Chairman of WTTC, remarked, “The unanimous decision to establish our Global Office in Madrid reflects a clear view among the Operating Committee about what WTTC needs to succeed in the years ahead.”
