flydubai has launched its inaugural direct flight service to Riga, Latvia, establishing a three-times-weekly schedule between Dubai International (DXB) and Riga Airport (RIX). This launch is seen as a key link in fostering tourism and economic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Latvia.

Her Excellency Noora Juma, UAE Ambassador to Latvia, shared, “This day marks a new phase in the friendship between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Latvia. The launch of UAE airline flydubai’s direct flights between Dubai and Riga will not only enhance connectivity between our countries but also open doors to more opportunities for tourism, business and cultural exchange.”

Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, noted, “The launch of our new service to Riga strengthens flydubai’s growing presence in Europe and supports our strategic commitment to expanding connectivity across underserved markets.”

The airline has also expanded its European network to include destinations like Chișinău, Iași, and Vilnius, serving a total of 35 locations across 20 countries. Laila Odiņa, Chairperson of the Board of RIX, expressed optimism about the new flights, highlighting their potential to bolster business and economic interactions.

Economy Class fares from Dubai to Riga start at $494 (around AED 1,815), and Business Class tickets are available from $2,044 (approximately AED 7,505). This new route provides Latvian travelers greater access to Dubai’s global hub and seamless onward connections.
