Dusit Thani College (DTC) Partners with Alkhaleej Training
Dusit Thani College (DTC), Thailand’s leading institute for hospitality education, has partnered with Alkhaleej Training and Education to launch its Talent Opportunity Programme (TOP) in Saudi Arabia. This marks DTC’s first international licensing agreement, pushing forward its expansion goals.
The TOP program, scheduled to begin in January 2026, aims to equip Saudi talent for entry-level positions in the hospitality industry within six months. The training includes over 280 hours of hands-on practical experience, a two-month classroom instruction phase, and a guaranteed four-month internship at top hotels, all undertaken at Alkhaleej’s advanced training facilities in Riyadh.
Dr. Atthawet Prougestaporn, DTC’s Rector, emphasized the significance of this initiative, expressing, “Introducing our TOP programme to the Saudi Arabian market marks another vital step in our mission to make high-quality hospitality education accessible to all.”
Alkhaleej will also provide specialized short courses and business-to-business upskilling initiatives to adapt to the changing market conditions. Graduates who wish to further their education will have the opportunity to pursue degree-level studies at Dusit Thani College’s Bangkok campus.
John Lohr, DTC’s Executive Director of External Affairs, shared his positive outlook on the partnership, remarking, “By licensing TOP to respected international partners like Alkhaleej, we hope to support national tourism strategies and enhance local workforces.”
This collaboration aligns perfectly with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, as the tourism sector in the country is experiencing rapid growth. The World Travel & Tourism Council anticipates that travel and tourism will contribute over 10% to Saudi Arabia’s GDP by 2025, offering remarkable opportunities for initiatives like TOP.
