Record 339,000 Fans Attend Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The 2025 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix set a new attendance record with 339,000 fans at Yas Island.

The 2025 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, organized by Ethara, broke attendance records as 339,000 fans attended the thrilling event at Yas Island. This season’s finale, staged at the Yas Marina Circuit, featured a gripping three-way title chase that drew 203,000 spectators, marking a 6% rise from 2024.

The excitement peaked as Max Verstappen took the win, while Lando Norris secured his inaugural drivers’ championship. The Yasalam celebrations, backed by e&, brought in 136,000 fans for the Emirates NBD After-Race Concerts, highlighting performances from Benson Boone, Post Malone, Metallica, and Katy Perry. Notable After-Parties were led by Idris Elba, Calvin Harris, and Keinemusik.

Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, expressed that “This year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be remembered for decades with the F1 title battle unfolding under the floodlights of Yas Marina Circuit.” The event introduced novel hospitality options, enhanced ticket offerings, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s reputation as the premier destination for the F1 season finish.

Innovation was on display with public pit lane walks, FAB Track Walks, and a record-setting Thursday performance by Benson Boone. The event attracted stars like Ana de Armas, Jason Statham, and sports figures Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho.

In addressing sustainability, off-grid solar power use was tripled and biofuels were used to significantly cut emissions. Partnering with UAE-based MaHawa, over 260,000 litres of water were created, reducing reliance on plastic bottles by 520,000.

The 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix marked a historic and electrifying end to the 75th season of Grand Prix racing. Registration for the 2026 event is now available at AbuDhabiGP.com.
