Etihad Launches Carbon Offset Feature for Corporate Clients

Etihad Airways enhances its business platform by allowing companies to redeem credits for carbon offsets, supporting environmental efforts.

Etihad Airways has unveiled a new feature on its Etihad for Business platform, allowing corporate clients to utilize their EYB credits for purchasing carbon offsets directly. This enhancement, launched on December 11, 2025, is part of Etihad’s ongoing collaboration with CarbonClick, aimed at supporting corporate partners in achieving their voluntary environmental commitments.

The new functionality integrates seamlessly into the existing Etihad for Business portal, facilitating travel management, access to contract details, spending tracking, and redemption of credits for upgrades, priority services, lounge access, and carbon offsets.

Javier Alija, Vice President Global Sales & Distribution at Etihad Airways, stated, “This enhancement provides our corporate clients with a practical tool to assist in achieving their voluntary environmental commitments. By integrating carbon offsets directly into Etihad for Business, we simplify the process for corporate clients to be aware of their emissions related to business travel and choose to take steps in support of climate action through their everyday travel management.”

In the upcoming year, the platform expects more features like automated performance reports and real-time analytics, affirming Etihad’s dedication to delivering a user-friendly travel management solution that aligns with corporate clients’ environmental objectives.

With the new carbon-offset redemption integration, Etihad for Business offers an efficient mechanism for corporate clients to support their climate goals, enhancing the airline’s suite of digital travel management tools.
