WorldTicket by GO7 has expanded its services in the Caucasus by introducing its offerings in Armenia via the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP). This allows IATA-certified travel agents in Armenia to sell, issue, and settle W2 tickets in Armenian dram using the existing BSP system without any additional configuration needed.
This expansion comes after recent launches in Brazil and Uruguay and is part of WorldTicket’s strategy to boost airline connectivity worldwide. Peer Winter, Chief Distribution Officer at GO7, emphasized the importance of this launch, stating, “Bringing W2 into BSP Armenia completes our Caucasus network, alongside BSP Georgia and Azerbaijan, providing our partners enhanced access to a region connecting Europe and Asia.”
WorldTicket allows agencies to sell flights from over 150 airlines through their existing Global Distribution System (GDS). This enables agents to bundle flights from various airlines onto a single ticket and manage reporting and remittance using BSP. In Armenia, ticket sales include instant ticketing through W2-365, allowing agents to book flights directly within their GDS and settle in local currency.
The entry into Armenia marks a significant achievement for WorldTicket in its quest to simplify ticketing, settlement, and global connectivity for IATA-accredited agents worldwide. This expansion not only fills a gap in its regional BSP network but also opens up new opportunities for airlines to reach emerging markets in the area.
