DXB Opens Its Doors to 1,500 Athletes for the Asian Youth Para Games

Dubai International Airport welcomes a record number of young athletes, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for the Asian Youth Para Games.

Dubai International (DXB) has opened its doors to over 1,500 young athletes from 35 countries for the Asian Youth Para Games 2025. The event, which will take place from December 10 to 13, emphasizes DXB’s commitment to accessibility and inclusive services, with operational readiness across its three terminals.

The airport has established specialized People of Determination (PoD) teams and provided pre-event awareness training for staff to ensure a seamless experience for all delegations. Majed Al Joker, the Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Airports, highlighted the importance of accessibility, stating, “Accessibility shapes how we design and deliver every part of the airport journey.”

This year’s Games, the largest in history, will feature 11 sports hosted across eight venues, further solidifying Dubai’s status as a global hub for Para sports. Employees of Dubai Airports will also be volunteering to support the athletes, showcasing the organization’s dedication to inclusion for People of Determination within the UAE.

The 2025 edition marks Dubai’s second hosting of the Games, following a successful event in 2017. This initiative not only highlights DXB’s operational excellence but also its role in promoting inclusivity and accessibility on a global scale.
