ATM 2026 Set to Explore $15 Trillion Leisure Travel Potential

The upcoming Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is poised to highlight the Middle East's growing leisure travel segment, forecasting a growth rate of 7% annually from 2025 to 2030.

The 33rd edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 4 to 7, 2026. This event aims to examine opportunities within the global leisure travel market, projected to reach $15 trillion by 2040, up from $5 trillion in 2024.

ATM and Tourism Economics forecast that leisure spending in the Middle East will grow at 7% annually from 2025 to 2030, second to the Asia Pacific region.

  • By 2030, tourism nights in the Middle East from leisure are expected to grow by 87%.
  • The ATM Travel Trends Report predicts international tourism nights will reach 1.5 billion by 2030, marking a 90% increase from 2024, with 15% of these nights attributed to leisure travelers from outside the region.
  • Danielle Curtis stated: “By 2030, nearly 30 billion tourism nights globally are expected, with the Middle East comprising about 8%.”

The event will gather over 2,600 exhibitors from 161 countries, providing a significant platform for exchanging insights and trends as the leisure travel segment expands.

The ATM will also address the increasing demand for personalized travel experiences, reflecting evolving traveler values. Various trends, including beach getaways, city breaks, and cultural tourism, will be spotlighted.

Overall, ATM 2026 is expected to enhance Dubai’s role as a strategic gateway for international travel, connecting numerous destinations worldwide.
