Inaugural FACTS Summit & Expo Attracts Over 1,500 Delegates

The recent FACTS Summit & Expo, held at ICC Sydney, gathered significant participation from the corporate travel sector amid evolving industry challenges.

The inaugural FACTS Summit & Expo was held at ICC Sydney, bringing together 1,500 delegates, over 160 speakers, and more than 100 exhibitors from the global corporate travel, business events, travel payments, and aviation sectors.

Insights into the Event

The summit provided a platform for innovative ideas and collaboration during a time of significant change within the industry. Derek Sadubin, co-founder, stated, “FACTS was created to give the corporate travel and business events sector a strategic forum equal to the scale of its transformation. The pace of change is now exponential…FACTS is about bringing leaders together to share insight, confront hard questions, and shape the future of travel.”

Suzanne Neufang, CEO of GBTA, remarked that Australia is a front-runner in business travel, projecting an annual spend of AU$42.7 billion by 2025. However, she highlighted that the sector also faces challenges such as trade policy uncertainties, inflation, and shifts in supply chains.

Penny Spencer, chair of the ATMC, expressed that FACTS fosters meaningful discussions and supports the future development of corporate travel.
