Marbella Remains One of Europe's Top Tourist Destinations in October with Over 72% Hotel Occupancy
Marbella has solidified its standing as a premier European travel destination with significant hotel occupancy rates in October 2025.
Marbella has firmly established itself as a key tourist destination in Europe, boasting a hotel occupancy rate of 72.16% in October, as reported by the National Statistics Institute (INE). Although this figure is slightly lower than the previous year, Laura de Arce, the General Director of Tourism, attributes it to an increased supply of accommodations, with more establishments now open, allowing for a wider and more diverse offering.
In October, Marbella welcomed 68,421 visitors, with 14,687 from the domestic market and 53,734 from abroad. The total number of overnight stays reached 246,233, with an average duration of 3.60 nights. “These figures reflect the strength of our municipality among both Spanish and international visitors, particularly in the high-income segment,” noted de Arce.
Furthermore, the income per available room (RevPAR) stood at 153.08 euros, and the average daily rate (ADR) reached 205.65 euros. “These figures represent the highest ever recorded for October, placing Marbella among the most profitable destinations,” emphasized the Tourism Director, highlighting that “this growth is part of a solid upward trend throughout the year.”
In labor terms, the sector generated 3,739 jobs last October, an increase of 125 compared to the same month last year, “demonstrating stable demand despite the volatility in the global tourism market,” de Arce added. “Marbella continues to attract a visitor profile that values quality, exclusivity, and unique experiences, leading to robust occupancy and spending levels,” the Tourism Director concluded.
