The Michelin Guide Spain & Andorra 2026 ceremony took place yesterday in Málaga at the Sohrlin Andalucía space. The event was characterized by reunions, emotional moments, and numerous awards. The 2026 edition underscores the dynamic and exceptional quality of the culinary scene, as demonstrated by the increasing number of recognized establishments. This year, 161 new restaurants have been added to a total of 1,295 entries.
Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide, stated: > “This year, the significant number of new entries confirms that the culinary scenes in Spain and Andorra are experiencing unprecedented dynamism, marked by the solidification of already established restaurants and the strong emergence of young talents, indicating a truly promising future. Moreover, our inspectors have noticed remarkable evolution in the approach to gastronomy. Beyond the use of local products, it’s admirable to see how chefs strive to maximize their potential by employing a variety of techniques and more precise work.”
