Pan Pacific Hotels Group Finalizes Management Deal for PARKROYAL Serviced Suites in Manila Bay
The recent signing enhances the Group's footprint in Southeast Asia's long-stay market.
UOL Group Limited’s hospitality unit, Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG), has recently finalized an agreement to manage the PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Manila Bay, marking a significant move in its expansion strategy within Southeast Asia’s rapidly growing long-stay market.
According to PPHG’s Chief Executive Choe Peng Sum, the region is experiencing a notable trend towards lengthier stays due to factors such as corporate travel, relocations, multi-generational trips, extended assignments, and project-based group accommodations. He stated:
“Across Southeast Asia, we’re seeing a clear shift towards longer stays driven by traditional corporate travel, relocations, multi-generational trips, extended assignments, and project-based group stays that blur the lines between work and leisure.”
(Translation: In Southeast Asia, there’s a growing trend for longer stays driven by corporate trips, relocations, and group projects.)
Located strategically in the capital of the Philippines, the property will feature within a dual-tower mixed-use complex housing offices, retail, and serviced suites. Scheduled to open in the first half of 2027, this development will consist of 169 units including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom options.
Rethinking Long-Term Stay Options in Southeast Asia
The establishment of the PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Manila Bay signifies a decisive advancement in PPHG’s Version 2.0 growth strategy, aimed at refining its portfolio to align with contemporary travel patterns.
This strategy emphasizes the long-stay market, catering to the needs of business travelers, relocating executives, and long-term leisure guests seeking flexible living arrangements backed by hotel-level services. Across the Asia Pacific, forecasts indicate a robust upward trend for serviced apartments, highlighting a demand for professionally-managed residences in major urban centers.
PPHG has modernized its PARKROYAL Serviced Suites brand to develop concepts that combine residential comfort with tailored services and minimal contact options. Choe remarked:
“Our focus is to stay ahead of evolving lifestyles and the choices guests make because of them. We are shaping the long-stay concept around flexible spaces, intuitive technology, and a sense of community.”
(Translation: Our aim is to anticipate evolving lifestyles and the preferences of our guests.)
With Manila joining its expanding long-stay portfolio, PPHG is setting higher standards for extended-stay hospitality, integrating convenience, lifestyle, and sustainability into environments designed for modern living and working.
