Emirates Expands Fleet with 65 More Boeing 777X Aircraft Orders

Worth US$ 38 billion at Dubai Airshow 2025
Emirates has announced an order for 65 additional Boeing 777-9 aircraft, equipped with GE 9X engines, valued at $38 billion at list prices, during the opening day of Dubai Airshow 2025. This brings Emirates’ total order to 315 widebody aircraft, demonstrating a long-term commitment to US aerospace manufacturing.

The new agreement supports Boeing’s feasibility study for the 777-10, a larger variant, as the airline has options to convert its 777-9 orders.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum emphasized Emirates’ position as the world’s largest operator of the Boeing 777, enhancing their fleet with this substantial investment.

Stephanie Pope from Boeing remarked, “We are deeply honoured that Emirates has once again selected the Boeing 777X.” Meanwhile, Russell Stokes of GE Aerospace highlighted their long-term partnership with Emirates and the confidence reflected in the new engine orders.

Emirates will receive these new aircraft from Q2 2027 to maintain its growth aligned with Dubai’s expansion plans.
