Riyadh Welcomes Helicopter Transfers: A Modern Move Inspired by NYC
Riyadh Air and The Helicopter Company partner to introduce helicopter transfers in the city, enhancing mobility for travelers.
Strategic Announcement
At the Dubai Airshow, Riyadh Air and The Helicopter Company (THC), both under the Public Investment Fund (PIF), have entered a strategic partnership aimed at transforming luxury transport in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration represents a major advancement in integrating innovative air transport solutions within the kingdom’s growing aviation landscape.
The initiative will make it possible for passengers of Riyadh Air to transition smoothly via helicopter from King Khalid International Airport (RUH) to various locations throughout Riyadh and beyond. This model draws inspiration from already successful services in cities like New York and Nice, promising fast, personalized, and efficient travel options that significantly reduce city commute durations.
Arnaud Martinez, CEO of THC, noted, “THC continues to unlock new modes of mobility that deliver high standards of safety, comfort, and convenience. By partnering with Riyadh Air, we strengthen national integration in the aviation sector and support the PIF’s goal of bolstering critical sectors while advancing Saudi Vision 2030.”
In addition, Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air stated, “Our commitment extends beyond traditional air travel; we are building a world-class travel experience that mirrors the kingdom’s ambition and global stature. Our partnership with THC demonstrates our common goal of enhancing premium transport solutions that will revamp the aviation landscape nationwide.”
As these organizations collaborate to define operational frameworks and routes, this service is poised to become a hallmark of future transportation in Riyadh, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s push towards innovation in aviation, tourism, and urban mobility.
