Vueling Strengthens Services in Andalusia for Summer 2026 with Over 5 Million Seats and New Routes

Vueling enhances its flight offerings in Andalusia, preparing for summer 2026 with significant seat additions and new international routes.

Vueling, part of the IAG group, is significantly boosting its flight offerings in Andalusia for the summer season of 2026 with more than 5 million seats available across six airports in the region. This includes an additional aircraft in Seville and the launch of a new route connecting Seville to London Heathrow. Overall, the airline will provide flights to 17 destinations, comprising 12 domestic and 5 international locations, solidifying Andalusia’s status as a tourism and business hub.

  • Growth: Vueling’s summer 2026 plan reflects a 4% increase compared to the previous summer, with an additional capacity of over 110,000 seats across the region.
  • Seville Operations: The airline will add one more aircraft to its base in Seville, reaching a total of 2 million seats and introducing a new route to London with seven weekly flights, enhancing the existing services to London-Gatwick.
  • Expanded Routes: In Seville, 13 routes will be maintained and broadened during the summer season, particularly improving domestic connections to the Canaries and resuming links to Barcelona, Bilbao, Santiago de Compostela, Valencia, Ibiza, and Palma de Mallorca.
  • Córdoba Development: For the first time, Cordoba will have the Barcelona route operational throughout the summer with two weekly flights.

In Málaga, Vueling plans to offer 2.4 million seats across 14 routes, including increased international connections to Paris and London, alongside maintaining links to Brussels and Amsterdam. The airline’s overall approach aims to enhance connectivity within the region and with European destinations.

Vueling director Jordi Pla emphasized the commitment to enhancing international and domestic connectivity in the region, reinforcing its leadership position in the domestic market. Meanwhile, Arturo Bernal, the Tourism Counselor of Andalusia, highlighted the partnership with Vueling as a key contributor to the economic and tourism-driven growth of the community, noting that increased flight frequencies and presence in the six airports will drive employment and enhance regional competitiveness.
