Hong Kong Airlines has announced the enhancement of its codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines, effective from 26 October 2025. This expansion aims to strengthen the airlines’ international networks, providing passengers with improved travel options.

The codeshare partnership will now incorporate Hong Kong Airlines’ services to Australia, giving passengers better connectivity through Hong Kong. This means seamless access to Sydney and Melbourne, two significant Australian cities, enhancing travel experience.

Under this new agreement, Hong Kong Airlines utilizes its “HX” code on Turkish Airlines flights from Hong Kong to Istanbul. Concurrently, Turkish Airlines applies its “TK” code to Hong Kong Airlines flights that connect Hong Kong to Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Sydney, and the new Melbourne route set to launch in December 2025.

Louis Li, Executive Vice President of Hong Kong Airlines, stated, “Istanbul is one of the world’s most historic and dynamic metropolises, acting as a critical link to Europe. Since the inception of our codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines in 2018, our collaboration has only deepened, allowing Hong Kong Airlines passengers greater access to Europe.”

Bilal Ekşi, Turkish Airlines CEO, expressed, “We are delighted to advance our partnership with Hong Kong Airlines, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a major entry point into Asia and extending travel convenience across our respective routes.”
