H World Group Unveils Expansion Plans on 20th Anniversary

Celebrating its two-decade milestone, H World Group announced ambitious plans to expand its hotel portfolio across China significantly.

H World Group Marks 20th Anniversary with New Strategies

China’s global hospitality leader, H World Group Limited, celebrated its 20th anniversary with the announcement of exciting new development strategies focused on enhancing supply-side innovation and fostering quality growth. Nearly 4,000 franchisees, investors, and partners participated in a celebration reflecting on the company’s evolution from a solitary hotel in 2005 to over 12,000 establishments across 19 countries.

The company aims to expand its reach to over 20,000 hotels in 2,000 cities in China by 2030, targeting a market share of approximately 15%.

During the Partners Day event in Shanghai, founder Ji Qi expressed unwavering confidence in the future of China’s economy and its hospitality market:

“I remain firmly optimistic about China, the hospitality industry, and H World. China’s hotel industry holds tremendous potential, and the real opportunities lie in supply-side reform.”

Vision for the Future

Ji’s growth framework rests on three significant pillars:

  • Brand Leadership: A robust portfolio ranging from mass-market to luxury brands including Hanting, JI Hotel, Orange Hotel, and more.
  • Membership Advantage: The H Rewards program, boasting over 280 million members, enhances loyalty through direct bookings and repeat stays.
  • Technology Backbone: A comprehensive digital platform ensures real-time management and enhanced guest experiences.

As of now, H World has welcomed over two billion guests and made substantial industry investments amounting to over RMB 300 billion. According to HOTELS Magazine, H World ranks fourth globally among hotel groups by room count, with Hanting recognized as the largest single hotel brand in the world.
