Goa to Highlight Regenerative Tourism and Culture at WTM London 2025

Goa's Department of Tourism aims to present its regenerative tourism model and cultural campaign, 'Feels Like Goa,' at the World Travel Market in London.

The Department of Tourism aims to make a significant impact at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, taking place from November 4–6. The event will spotlight Goa’s innovative Regenerative Tourism model along with its exciting year-end campaign titled “Feels Like Goa.” This initiative is designed to present Goa not merely as a travel destination but as an emotional experience, underscored by the region’s distinct culture and traditions.

Minister for Tourism, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, articulates, “Goa has always held a special place in the hearts of travelers worldwide. Through our regenerative tourism approach and the ‘Feels Like Goa’ campaign, we aim to revive the true essence of what makes Goa unique—its people, culture, and traditions. It’s a heartfelt homage to the everlasting memories that travelers take with them. Our goal is for the world to rediscover Goa as a feeling that warmly invites them home.”

Additionally, Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, mentions, “We are dedicated to crafting significant and meaningful tourism experiences that genuinely reflect Goa’s identity. Our involvement at WTM London 2025 and the unrolling of the ‘Feels Like Goa’ campaign is a strategic move to amplify travel sentiments while endorsing local communities and traditions. This ensures that local stakeholders and travelers alike benefit while preserving Goa’s essence.”

As the first Indian state to adopt Regenerative Tourism officially, Goa’s vision transcends mere conservation; it seeks to rehabilitate ecosystems and empower local communities while showcasing its cultural heritage. This initiative is rooted in four fundamental pillars: People, Community, Environment, and Economy. At WTM London, Goa will illustrate how these elements are cultivating a more conscious and sustainable tourism sector.

The focus also encompasses the ‘Feels Like Goa’ campaign—a tribute to the state’s charm, festive ambiance, and bonds with global travelers. This campaign celebrates nostalgia, culture, spirituality, and regenerative experiences, reminding visitors that Goa is more than a destination; it’s about warmth, belonging, and joy. It encapsulates the festive spirit prevalent in Goa during the year-end when every village and celebration tells a unique story.

Exciting initiatives like the Ekadasha Teertha Circuit aim to connect guests with Goa’s living traditions while ensuring community benefits. The state’s promotion of hinterland, wellness, adventure, spiritual, and heritage tourism will complement its renowned coastal attractions, reaffirming its holistic tourism appeal.

Emphasizing its identity as the culinary heart of India, Goa’s cuisine promises a rich tapestry of flavors goes beyond traditional expectations and offers vibrant culinary experiences.

Goa’s presence at WTM London 2025 will also unveil future strategies aimed at enhancing community involvement in tourism initiatives, empowering women and youth, promoting sustainable practices, and ensuring long-term economic resilience by distributing tourism benefits beyond the coastline. The government is establishing key infrastructure, such as Unity Mall and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Digital Museum, to enhance the tourist experience.

As Goa prepares for the bustling end-of-year period, its participation at WTM London 2025 reflects its leadership in regenerative and cultural tourism, inviting travelers to reconnect with cherished memories.
