Atlantis Dubai Unveils Enhanced ‘Lost World Aquarium’ Experience

Atlantis Dubai has successfully completed a significant renovation of the Lost World Aquarium, now recognized as Dubai’s unique marine-themed entertainment destination. This redeveloped attraction utilizes advanced technology and imaginative storytelling to promote ocean conservation awareness among visitors of all ages.

A strong focus on interactive education, the new aquarium features more than 285 species and 65,000 marine animals, including the Striated Frogfish and Giant Pacific Octopus. In total, the experience spans 14 themed rooms, each showcasing diverse marine habitats supported by state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, consisting of 1,900 LED panels and 140 synchronized speakers.

Immersive Experiences Await

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a visually stunning LED wall that sets the stage for their journey into an undersea world. The new design honors the aquarium’s legacy while launching a new era focused on interactive educational content, thanks to digital displays and behind-the-scenes tours led by marine experts.

One of the central attractions, Medusa’s Cave, features a realistic representation of an Atlantean guardian amidst various marine species, with motion sensors enabling guests to engage with their surroundings. The experience is further enriched through an innovative activation device, the Trident, which unlocks hidden effects and enhances guest interactions throughout the aquarium.

Throughout their visit, guests will witness a captivating mermaid performance entitled ‘Return of the Trident,’ that artfully blends choreography, music, and storytelling rooted in the mythology of Poseidon.

To engage more deeply with marine education, redesignated areas encourage exploration of marine facts, species, and conservation initiatives. Atlantis Dubai aims to continue fostering awareness and stewardship of ocean conservation, contributing USD 1 for each marine experience booked toward related initiatives.

The Lost World Aquarium is operational daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with ticket prices starting at AED 85 for children and AED 105 for adults.
