Agoda Partners with Busan City to Boost Tourism

Agoda and the Busan City government have established a partnership aimed at promoting tourism and enhancing international visibility for Busan.

Agoda and the local government of Busan have formed a strategic alliance to enhance tourism and support related initiatives. The two-year memorandum of understanding (MOU) aims to leverage Busan’s growing reputation as an international destination.

Agoda’s Senior Vice President for Supply, Andrew Smith, stated: > “With Agoda’s global reach and marketing insights, we look forward to showcasing Busan’s exceptional tourism assets to travelers worldwide and enhancing its status from a domestic favorite to a trending international destination.”

Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon added: > “This partnership will help international tourists discover and experience Busan’s rich culture and hidden gems, utilizing Agoda’s media solutions and global marketing expertise.”

A Historic First

This marks the inaugural partnership between Agoda and a local government in Korea. Through this cooperation, they plan to develop marketing strategies and campaigns that highlight Busan’s attractions.

Busan’s Emergence as a Destination

Known for its vibrant attractions, including beaches like Haeundae, Gwangalli, and unique cultural sites, Busan is becoming a culinary hotspot with numerous Michelin-rated selections. The city offers year-round marine leisure activities, major events, and diverse local cuisines, making it a must-visit destination.
