Norse Atlantic Airways Launches Inaugural Flight from Stockholm to Bangkok
Norse Atlantic Airways has commenced its first direct route linking Stockholm and Bangkok, enhancing travel options for Swedish tourists to Thailand.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) partnered with Swedavia and Norse Atlantic Airways to celebrate the inaugural flight on the new Stockholm–Bangkok route that took off on October 22 from Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
This new service represents the first direct flight between Sweden and Thailand, improving long-haul travel options for the upcoming 2025/2026 winter season.
Thailand continues to be the leading destination in Asia for Swedish travelers, with 145,188 visitors recorded from January 1 to October 15 this year, an increase of 8.56% compared to the previous year. On average, Swedish tourists spend 65,000 Baht per trip and stay for about 19.9 days, contributing over 14.6 billion Baht to the economy.
Travel trends indicate a preference for independent travel, emphasizing safety and responsible tourism, demonstrating the need for sustainable growth in Thailand’s tourism sector.
